Dr. Young has over 40 years working with physicians, patients, and healthcare leaders in acute and primary care settings. As a medical device consultant, he interacted with racially and culturally diverse patients and families to improve their understanding of how medical devices could improve their quality of life and the importance of behavior modifications they should follow to improve their clinical outcomes.
He also trained healthcare professionals on patient-centered care and how to display behaviors that improve trust and satisfaction among racially and culturally diverse patient populations. Dr. Young published primary research on racial disparities in trust and satisfaction in healthcare was selected by Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health to help develop a culturally competent survey to measure patient satisfaction among diverse communities.
Over 500,000 patients and healthcare providers have benefited from Dr. Young's expertise. He holds a Ph.D. and Masters Degree in Organization and Leadership and a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering is a Veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
